Hi All,

As most of you know, I am currently in the process of setting up a
new company which will leverage the Freenet platform, applying "peer
to peer" technology to a variety of areas (and no, we will not just be
a Freenet-based Napster).

We are currently about to start recruiting (we will shortly have
secured initial funding), and what better place to fish for talent
than the Freenet development mailing list.

Firstly, some requirements, please read these carefully:

You must be capable of relocating to Santa Monica, California - and do
so quickly. It will be an advantage if you are already in this area,
however we are willing to arrange work permits for particularly
talented people outside of the US.

We are only interested in the best - you must have either Java or C++
programming experience, preferably Java. This can either be working
experience, or contributions to open source projects. Experience
with networking and Internet protocols is essential. Knowledge of
crypto and wireless will be very useful. We are happy to consider
people who have recently left university, after all, most people do
their best work when young, but you will need to be able to point to
some cool stuff so that we know you have what it takes.

Those who have contributed to, or who can demonstrate a good
understanding of Freenet will, of course, be given priority.

If you fit the above requirements, and are interested in working for
Uprizer, send me you CV/Resume ASAP in either plain text, HTML, or
any other form for which readers exist on Linux (ie. not MS Word!).
A URL would be fine too.

I can guarantee that by joining Uprizer you will be working on stuff
that most coders would happily do for free - and being paid well for
it.

**No time-wasters please** I have little enough time as it is. Only
send your CV if you are really serious about this. You should place
"Uprizer CV" in the subject line of your email.

Ian.
