I was not saying "decentralized". I was asking what was meant by the claims that DNS is centralized. > Come back with 16,000 or 30,000 and I will be impressed. I do not want to impress you. Why would I? But I just read there are 600.000 to 800.000 nameservers running. It was an educated guess according to the author. So it might be just 300.000. > BTW, I am planning on putting in name address support, at least for 0.3 > since we have no other form of address resolution, Now *that* is what makes me happy. Call DNS whatever you like, as long as Freenet makes use of it. > I'm just saying that it > is not "the solution". It isn't but it works. I will be happy to try anything that can replace it. -- Marc Schneiders ------- Venster - http://www.venster.nl |marc at venster.nl - marc at bijt.net - marc at schneiders.org| A sleepless night's thoughts : http://www.freecopy.org _______________________________________________ Freenet-dev mailing list Freenet-dev at lists.sourceforge.net http://lists.sourceforge.net/mailman/listinfo/freenet-dev
