There should be archives of the pre-sourceforge discussion somewhere as
well, though I don't think there is much there anybody will need to read,
it might be interesting to preserve.

I think I have everything since I joined (August or September 99, I
think), though somebody probably has older stuff then that (Ian?)

I would recommend that people who really want to read the dev archives
start around March or April. None of the stuff discussed previous to that
will be terribly useful, and all of it has been explained again many times
since.
