I just wanted to extend my thanks to Jeff Siegal, Signal,
Mathew, Brandon and others for helping out with the bandwidth
throttling issue. No one doubted that TCP routinely handles
short-term buffering quite well; the issue was if we would
cause trouble by deliberately putting in extra delays. I feel
much better now about putting in those delays. Bugs in this
realm can be very difficult to report, recreate, and test; so
you'll have to endure a lot of nervous twitching on my part.
FWIW, down the road I intend to bring up some stego issues
that would probably require resource throttling that cannot
be addressed solely be the technique of dragging our feet
now and then in the code. That is an issue for another time,
however.
Thanks again for your help.
