I checked in a simple interface to Freenet that is compatible with the old one, with a few minor differences that shouldn't be noticable in most cases. (The even older exception-based API is not implemented, but it should be easy to add). This means that at least in theory all the old Python programs running off Freenet 0.2 will also work with 0.3.
