i just read an interesting reaction from a computer
forensic officer

Name: Chief Programmer and Computer Forensics Officer
Location: Maryland, United States
Occupation: Chief Programmer and Computer Forensics Officer

We're working on software that will scare the hell out of people
that think that Gnutella, scour, and all that other stuff is
"anonymous". I just thought that you guys would like to know that.

We managed to lock down a Gnutella user located in france that was
hosting a bunch of files on a university laboratory computer.
The only thing we were missing was which of 5 people was currently
at the console. Gnutella makes it extremely easy to load MP3s, asfs,
and many other files with trojans. with these trojans we can
track your every download, and build up a nice database of all the
illegal, pirated MP3s you have on your machine.

i just thought you'd all like to know that, and ZDnet, please
stop saying that Gnutella is RIAA proof, because we've met with them
and they are very interested in what we're currently working on.

thanks
