Optimisation telling whether I (or one of my neighbors)has the document.
Construct periodically a lossy hash on document key, as use an index to a
bit-array (the digest) ,  setting the bit if you hold the document. The
digest can be used as a hint to see if you hold a document, and digests (or
updates to digests) can be periodically exchanged with neighbours to see if
its worth asking them.
Claimed to significantly improve response and reduce network traffic.
