This could be good, as it might be interesting to have a mod_freenet or
some weirdness to provide a freenet->web gateway.  But that may not be a
good idea.  Just an idea.

Well, you don't need the approval of the powers-that-be to help, just that
you tread gracefully on others' code. :)  Ian's right, the biggest area
for new coders will be search, once we agree on how its done.  The other
remaining issues... updating, the protocol, are very fickle areas that
have passionate people attached to them.
