As a NEW-BIE, I gotta ask 2 things, yes, about "permanent files"... My question is this, surely files deletion from servers, or nodes, is fine, as long as the files doesn't get TOTALLY wiped, or become "extinct", could a server possibly find a certain file on another node, before it deems it safe to delete, this way at leat 1 a server will always carry a copy of a certain file? also, possibly, if a server finds no identical copies on other nodes, it could send it to a "safe" node, or storage node, one that only other nodes can acess, to request rare files?... Also, are there any plans to limit file types on freenet, to maintain consistency, EG. if you allowed HTML web pages, these could be used for creating webpage alike pages, with links to other keys, even pictures (linked from keys), or even just a plain, text only document, and all range within? But surely these restrictions would bea form of censorship? not really, it would maintain functionality, but, also, if Zip files where also "allowed", than ANY type of file could be zipped and distributed?...
