I was thinking today that it's kind of lame that there are two
"directory inserter" programs already out there -- freenetmirror and
GJ's PutFiles. The reason, of course, is that this functionality is
not already included in the Freenet clients.
So what I was thinking is that maybe we need to merge those two
programs, or rather take the salient features of those two programs,
and put them into InsertClient. Really, the main difference is that
freenetmirror and PutFiles work on directories or groups of files
rather than a single file.
I think we could change InsertClient so that it could handle a
command-line syntax like:
freenet_insert [basekey] [dir]
or:
freenet_insert [key1] [file1] [key2] [file2] ...
...AND do the parallel inserts that freenetmirror and PutFiles
do.
