Someone may wish to look into using this to ease the creation of Freenet pre-built binaries for various Linux distros. It appears to allow the creation of .rpm, .deb, and .tgz files from just one .def file. Needless to say, a unified mechanism for generating such packages (rather than requiring different maintainers for each package) would be preferable.
