Hi Again Folks: I would Like to thank Mark for his pointer to ibm-s java2 compiler that did the trick. I had a hell of a time getting it installed and running though.
As a point of notice, freenet_config goes through the options but doesn't actually write them into the .freenetrc file. Once again thank you all for your help.
