The correct SI prefix is "peta"  for 10^15 ( with "exa" for 10^18).

As for peta storage, I believe that there is a Sony video archival system
called PetaSite.  It's not a hard-disk based system though, so the PetaByte
Hard-drive is still some way off.

I believe it's "Pedabyte" here in Holland, perhaps same goes for Germany. I
heard this term form the first time within the context of some
superproject in Geneva for ("peda") storage of images.

But its been a long time ago, so my memory could flock me.
