True, these few months are always quite slow. Tavin did say that he was doing a major rewrite of the datastore code, but he is keeping an extremely low profile while he does it. The problem with Freenet is that it can be difficult and intimidating to get into core development, however I am sure that if anyone wants to try to learn some of the internals, we will be more than willing to help out.
