Looks perfect, expect that the configure check for pthread on FreeBSD
should not add to LIBS but only to LDFLAGS (yes this is a flag, not a
library to link with),
.cvsignore should not include ".cvsignore", "Makefile.in"
and the whitespace change in the source file does not add to portability.

What platform do you run NetBSD on? On FreeBSD/i386 jdk-1.1.8 works fine
with the linux snapshots.
