...and have you noticed how much faster the store builds if you
set the cipher to 'null' ?

(Yeah, I know the data is still encrypted, but I like looking at
all the humanly-readable datastore bits with a hex editor)

Good argument.

Although it follows that some governments might force their users
to use only 'approved' Freenet node implementations which will not
only cull dissenting keys but also keep track of who is inserting
what and when.
