I've been thinking about ways to do this, looking into the FCP.
I might be making this project MUCH more complex than it needs to be.
Couldn't I, for example,do a mini-install of the freenet-client (and all the
Java-finding mess that entails), then basically WGET the file I want from
Freenet?

If I wrapped a nice GUI around it, and then deleted my mini-freenet
installation after the download completes, I should be all set.. Or what am
I missing?

The other attraction of doing it this way is that I can give the user the
option of leaving freenet installed. This increases the base of Freenet
users, which helps Freenet (more nodes), and helps to propagate my package.

One concern is if the file breaks at 80% through. I suspect that it might be
possible to Resume it somehow, or I could break the 650 meg file into
multiple 6 meg files. I am uncertain which would have a greator chance of
survivng and propagating, however.

As always, I welcome your thoughts and comments.
I think Freenet could be a wonderful system of cached system content and
distribution. I'd love to upgrade Debian via freenet at some point.

On an off-topic note, have the problems with multiple posts to a Frost TOF
board been solved? It seemed like last time I checked, you could spam the
keyspace, and clog up everything.

Thank you very much for making a great tool! I know I'm making a donation,
albeit small, this weekend.
