No, that will be spammable. Someone should create a crawler, and define a metadata tag which=20 Freesite author's can use to categorize their content. I say: Of course it's spammable, and that's a big problem with it. Anything automated is probably spammable, given a sufficiently ingenuous spammer. But anything that isn't automated won't scale well. Only sites that are fetchable get listed in the index. So the only way to spam the index is to create hundreds of different SSK sites that are themselves spam. But it's all too easy to flood the submit queue with bogus SSKs, hence a DoS attack. Maybe I should compromise on the demand that it be completely automated. Make it still capable of running unattended indefinitely, but provide a means by which an administrator can remove bogus sites. Sort of a cancelmoose for SSKs. Now about the crawler. How would this work? How does it know where the (legit) sites are? ------------------------------------------------- SSK at jbf~W~x49RjZfyJwplqwurpNmg0PAgM/marlowe// _________________________________________________________________ Join the world?s largest e-mail service with MSN Hotmail. http://www.hotmail.com _______________________________________________ devl mailing list devl at freenetproject.org http://hawk.freenetproject.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/devl
