Hi, My Freenet web crawl has found and indexed over a thousand pages and its still going: check out http://giantblob.com/search.cgi .
I'm not sure whether to spend some time speeding this up my moving the indexes into mysql (just a matter of reconfiguring the UDM search engine) or to try and move it into Freenet (by publishing the indexes on Freenet and re-writing the UDM search client in Java - obvously a much bigger job) - any suggestions? Is this sort of index any use when its not anonymous? -- degs -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:devl-admin at freenetproject.org]On Behalf Of degs Sent: 21 October 2002 15:00 To: devl at freenetproject.org Subject: [freenet-dev] freenet search page Hi, Just for a giggle I've pointed a web crawler at the Freenet through fproxy. The crawler is UDM Search (http://search.mnogo.ru/) and is GPL'd. Its not really designed for this sort of thing but its seems to give halfway useable results. You can try a search at http://giantblob.com/search.cgi Obviously its not anonymous but it might be useful to someone. I had to hack the crawler very slightly to deal with freenet URLs but its otherwise unchanged. -- degs _______________________________________________ devl mailing list devl at freenetproject.org http://hawk.freenetproject.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/devl _______________________________________________ devl mailing list devl at freenetproject.org http://hawk.freenetproject.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/devl
