Could I request two things that might make testing and support easier:

1) When one of the developers makes a build, could they ensure that it
has the build number in the filename. I just noticed that on support
mailing lists everyone is talking about build numbers while on the
snapshot directory listing, there is no indication which is which. If
your node runs, thenit is a simple matter to look at the gateway page
and verify which build you have. If it doesn't then it is hard to
confirm for trouble-shooting purposes which build you were trying to
run.

2) Could each build have a unique file name. Please avoid silently
replacing daily snapshots with newer ones during the day and using the
same filename. Even if the first snapshot was broken in some way and it
is the same build number, please add a unique identifier to the new one
(hhmm timestamp for example) to indicate that it is not the same file
that someone may have already downloaded before the build problem was
found.

I think that these two points will make testing a little more reliable.
And I know that both scenarios occur since I have been caught by both of
them in recent days during the flurry of activity to clean up 0.5 to be
ready for prime time.

Thanks for the tremendous efforts shown by all the developers now that
they are out of the DSB doldrums.

Mike
