There are a *lot* of switches, but that's mainly because there's a
*lot* of things to configure.  The upcoming rewrite will feature a
config file that contains more than just your subspace keys; it'll
allow default options to be specified for pretty much everything.

The documentation is a bit rambly; but neither of us (afaik) is a

Re-read it when you're not tired, though, and tell me if it still
doesn't make sense.
