Ian, any modifications would be acceptable if they were minimally
documented. Recent changes to FEC and mainport were hardly documented
at all, causing quite a lot of confusion. Most of the people don't
read the source code and have no idea what to change in freenet.conf
to preserve the previous functionality of the node. What I would suggest
is a note to freenet-announce and/or freenet-support explainig what
has changed in latest build and what needs to be adjusted in
configuration. If you don't have time to comment on every major change,
please do at least comment on incompatible changes.
