Borked. As the following shows, it will be down for anyone who has looked up the IP until their DNS server restarts. The hn.org servers are still authoratative, so until the expire-time runs out (12+ days) my named won't learn the new IP. Fix: update or delete the domain on the hn.org servers. This will cause other nameservers to fail out the delegation and recheck the root-servers for the new nameservers. --Dan harik at vulpine:~$ dig hawk.freenetproject.org @aux1.hn.org ;; ANSWER SECTION: hawk.freenetproject.org. 14400 IN A 216.31.179.150 ;; AUTHORITY SECTION: freenetproject.org. 86400 IN NS ns1.hn.org. freenetproject.org. 86400 IN NS aux1.hn.org. ;; ADDITIONAL SECTION: ns1.hn.org. 600 IN A 140.239.225.221 aux1.hn.org. 600 IN A 140.239.225.222 harik at vulpine:~$ dig freenetproject.org any @aux1.hn.org ;; ANSWER SECTION: freenetproject.org. 2560 IN SOA ns1.hn.org. hostmaster.freenetproject.org. 1033417085 16384 2048 1048576 2560 freenetproject.org. 86400 IN NS ns1.hn.org. freenetproject.org. 86400 IN NS aux1.hn.org. freenetproject.org. 86400 IN MX 10 mail.freenetproject.org. freenetproject.org. 14400 IN A 216.136.171.204 ;; ADDITIONAL SECTION: ns1.hn.org. 600 IN A 140.239.225.221 aux1.hn.org. 600 IN A 140.239.225.222 mail.freenetproject.org. 14400 IN A 216.31.179.150 -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed...
