Just had an idea for a "Network Health" infolet that would contain data which would give an indication of how "healthy" the network is as a whole.
Firstly, we could have a table - indicating the average response times for the various messages (DataRequest/DataReply etc) against the HTL of the message when it was forwarded. This information is already collected in Diagnostics, it would just be a matter of presenting it nicely in an infolet - any volunteers?
