Do this ARK / updating IP address thingy require some strange ICMP stuff or 
windows services or whatever? I have very harsh rules set for my desktop 
firewall.

Bear in mind that my IP address _is_ detected _correctly_ the first time. Only 
when it changes while Freenet is running it does not update.

My ARK sequence number always is 0, although I already had a zillion of 
different IP addresses.

I'm sorry I can't send you a debug-level log as I don't know what all those 
numbers stand for and I don't know how they could compromise my anonymity.
