That's a good idea. More generally, it might be useful to have "Freenet Bulletin" or "Freenet Announce" available from the Web Interface. Simple enough would be to make anything posted to announce at freenetproject to be inserted. The node could retrieve bulletins in the background and post them to the bulletin page, kind of like a log. Freenet users then wouldn't have to connect to freenetproject, protecting anonymity, and could even disable this, were they to have some reason to.
