Instead of linking directly to pages, how about creating a standard XML data format for index data, then having a search box (or a few) on the front page that would request TFE's or TFEE's XML index file, query that file, and return matching results. That way a user would have to explicitly search for certain pieces of content, and they wouldn't have to load hundreds of ActiveLinks.
