How do you make the datastore shrink?

If the node knows how much free disk space there is and keeps growing the 
datastore as new stuff comes in, then what happens when you want to 
reclaim some space?

It seems you'd have to just pick at random from the datastore, unless you 
had a way of telling fred to free up X much space, and it would delete the 
bottom part of the LRU list.
