Well the point IIRC was that we don't need NIO in Freenet 0.7. That post was asking if we should use NIO anyway for a few non-critical things (the proposed optional TCP transport, fproxy, FCP), in which case we might need to debug classpath NIO. Fred 0.7 should work on Kaffe now as far as I know but I haven't tried it.
