Ok, I'll make it very practical.

I have finally found a designer who is willing to redesign Freenet's UI.
This is the first designer I've been able to find in a DECADE that is
willing to do this, and has the time to do it. She can and will not do this
if she has to work with FProxy because FProxy is an ungodly mess, and her
expertise is with GWT.

Additionally, to those of you claiming that a designer can do everything in
CSS alone, you are wrong. She is a designer, I've asked her, and she said
that this would either be impossible, or at least extremely difficult. If
you want to find designers to contradict her, be my guest.

So the simple reality here is that if we want to fix Freenet's UI any time
soon, it has got to be a fresh start and its got to be GWT.

On the other hand, if you guys want to continue to build on FProxy, you can
wave goodbye to the possibility of getting a decent UI in place for Freenet
any time soon, unless one of you can find a good designer willing to devote
weeks or months of effort to this.

Let me know your answer, I'm tired of this discussion. I actually thought
people would welcome the possibility of fixing our UI, but all people have
done is throw obstacles in the way. This is why we can't have nice things.

Ian.
