Freenet 0.7.5 build 1305 is now available. Mandatory on Monday, makes 1304
mandatory immediately. Changes include:
- Make RequestSender's main wait asynchronous i.e. threadless. This should
allow to run a lot more requests at once with a limited number of threads,
especially on fast nodes. That will be important when the bulk flag is merged
next week.
- Chinese (simplified) and German translation updates. The former is especially
significant, and hadn't been updated in ages; thanks to our new anonymous
contributor.
- CSS3 support in the content filter.
- Fixes for SSK collisions on insert.
- A startup fix for 1.6.0_22.
- Various improvements to the security levels pages, various config options,
etc (mostly just changes to text but some structural changes too).
- Allow downloading to disk when physical seclevel is HIGH.
- Generate packet padding separately for each peer (prevents it being predicted
even if the attacker is connected).
- Fix shutting down the database before the plugins. This was breaking Sone.
- When de-duping jobs on the Ticker (i.e. when a tasks is scheduled to be
executed in the future and we see there is already such a task queued), run
whichever task is scheduled at the earlier time, rather than always keeping the
one that was already scheduled. This might break things badly if it is buggy,
but I have added a unit test.
- Minor changes to the datastore.
- Show the average location distance for each HTL for CHK vs SSK on the by-HTL
success rates table on the stats page. Show success rates by location, improve
the peers graph, don't show all FOAF locations on the connections pages.
- Some work on strengthening the SSL support. You will now need the JCE
Unlimited Strength policy files.
