There was a focus issue with GTK (somehow the focus was never returned to the window properly after the button press), so we have to manually force it. Commit in master now ( https://gitlab.com/kicad/code/kicad/-/commit/1dd92b1bb13c1f15519e8fd8b1c12206981b1ae0), so we can backport it to 7.0.8 after it has sat in master for some testing and once that branch is open for commits.
