On the "Made with KiCad" page (https://www.kicad.org/made-with-kicad/) you can find many examples of kicad made project. Most of these project are open hardware so you can freely download the entire project and take example from them. But you are right, there should be at or least it would be nice to have an indication to the standards somewhere.
