We're now rewriting the rendering engine and as part of this we're rewriting the macros (we're getting rid of Radeox). Thanks for the pointers. We'll need to find a good framework to use. It'll have to be a java one since the rendering is done on the server side. A first usable version of the new rendering should be released in September. That said, you can add new formatting for the radeox code macro. Let me know if you're interested and I'll dig up the details.
