What about showing the "Edit this attachment" icon in simple mode only 
if the WebDAV support is available (i.e. FoxWiki extension installed on 
Firefox) and always in advanced mode. This way an experienced user can 
install and configure the WebDAV support making the feature available to 
all the simple users using the same machine.
