Hi,

First of all the scenario described there happens in a multi-wiki
environment.
If you want to play and set up multiples wikis you need to use XEM (XWiki
Enterprise Manager)
http://manager.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/Main/
not just a XE instance.

Then you need to create a skin file (page having a XWikiSkins object
attached to it) and override the menuview.vm from it.
