Java 6 has been end of life for more than a year now.

I think it’s reasonable for us to require java7 in 6.x.

XWiki users who are in production will have about 1 year before upgrading so 
that should leave them enough time to prepare.

@Thomas: I think you should send a Poll mail to the users list to ask our users 
how much pain they’d have if we switched to 7 for 6.x
