Thanks David. That's really useful. Removing credit card transactions from the process of getting certs signed is going to be very valuable.
Note from here (https://community.letsencrypt.org/t/certificates-for-us-sanctioned-countries/1223) that there might still be some issues in some US sanctioned jurisdictions but this is great progress.
