whens the last time you saw X11 running on a 640x480 display by someone
who would be doing something like UML design or network diagramming? :)
IMO, with the completion of page setup for printing, it should be sized as
either A4 portfolio or A4 landscape proportions, zoomed in or out to the
appropriate level so that the space is actually going to be representative
of the printed paper size. Most people would be inclined to start drawing
and print, knowing where their page boundaries are likely to be, without
having to readjust things later when they decide to apply printable page
proportions to it.
