I don't know whether dia utilizes features of the recent libxml realeases
or not. But in fact the "vanilla" RH6.0 contains only libxml.so.0 and
libxml-1.0.
You can try to specify nodep for the rpm installer but seems to be
a better bet to download a more recent library. E.g.
ftp://rpmfind.net/linux/gnome.org/gnome-1.0.50/redhat/libxml-1.7.3-1.i386.rpm
