I don't seem to have any of the above in a -devel version.

Yes.
If the problem is the absense of -devel versions for the above
packages, could someone briefly explain the error I got with make,
since it seemed from the error messages to be the emptiness of a dia
directory (plug-ins/cgm) that was causing the problem. Thanks,
