Has anyone been successful in building dia (and its support libs) on any
level of AIX? I've tried on AIX 4.1.5 and 4.3.2 with both gcc and xlc,
and there seems to be major problems with shared objects. The symptoms
are segfaults at nonsense locations (e.g. gdb says that the problem is
tripping Sig 11 when exiting a routine that it never should have been near
in the first place!).
I tried building dia 100% static, but this fails due to some internal
assumptions about loading default objects. Finally compiled it on a Sun
box, but would like a working AIX port if possible.
