Hi,

while working on A-level coursework, I've created shapes for dataflow
diagrams in dia. You can download them at
http://nofx.org/files/dataflow-dia.tar.gz
if you're interested.

I have come across a little quirk, in that the main thing about dataflow
diagrams are the 'dataflows' - which are simply lines with an arrow at the
end and a label. It's not really optimal having to draw these by hands, a
dataflow shape would be nice (that positions the text nicely, too).

It seems to me the only way to do this is to create an object in c, but
could there be some better (i.e. xml) way to do it? If not, is anything
like the 'shapes' planned for connectors?

Oh and regarding the uml->(xmi|uxl)->(your-favourite-language) issue:
thanks for all the input. It looks like writing an export filter to xmi or
uxl that can access the properties is the right way to do it. I'll be
happy to devote some time to this, once the base is set.

Thanks,
