Greetings.
I have been using DIA. It is a useful application. I have been working
on a UML design and am at the stage where I need to create Collaboration
Diagrams. One thing I noticed that is missing from Dia is the numbering
of messages in a Collaboration. The workaround is to manually add a
sequence number to each message, but Dia would help automate this task
if it incremented and added the message number each time I add a new
message to a diagram.
I have attached a sample DIA Collaboration Diagram that shows 3
successive messages invoked on the same class. I manually added the
numbering to illustrate the feature described above.
Another feature that would help automate the Collaboration diagram is
the automatic addition of a method. For example, I create a message
that is invoked on a given class. This message could then be added to
the 'Operations' TAB under the class 'Properties' dialog. This would
alleviate the current situation where I add a message to a Collaboration
diagram and then must add the same message to the 'Properties' of the
class.
Notice that in the attached diagram, the messages shown are also
contained in the 'Attributes' class description.
Keep up the great work! Dia has been a great addition to my software
development using only Linux!
Sincerely,
Jeffery Cann
