I have done a bit of work on a python interface for dia. Currently it
doesn't integrate with the undo system, and there are a lot of things you
can't do from it (this will change as I finish off the properties code).
It is not really in a testable state though (it is using a few hard coded
paths for my system, and isn't fully integrated with the build system).
But this will be available in the future.
