Hi, I haven't seen anyone bring this up on the list yet, but I have been using dia for a report here and I've noticed that all the exported dia postscript renders *really* slowly compared to postscript from other programs, like sketch. This is annoying for a couple reasons, the first is that it draws slowly in LyX but that is only the first time.. The biggy is that when I preview my document in gv or xdvi the pages with dia diagrams render at a glacial rate, it makes it hard to scan the document, particularly when your document has 12 dia diagrams in it! The trouble seems to be some sort of very high startup time (like 8 seconds!!), after it gets going it draws fast.. Maybe someone who knows more about postscript than me could look at the postscript output? I am using dia 0.83-2 (Debian) Thanks, Jason [ Please CC, not on the list ]
