The "zigzag" line confused me at first as well, until I discovered (via the
list) the object menu activated by the middle mouse button. Using this
object menu on the zigzag line, you can add and remove segments, making the
line pretty much anything you want.

Hello,

I found dia via an UML-Tools-Listing and am really impressed.

I think I will use it in my lecture at out university which I currently
prepare. (The subject is UML and Designpatterns.)

I give an other lecture which is about circuits. As beeing extendable in
XML I will create my own collection of gates for simple logic-functions.
(AND, OR, NOT, NOR, ...)

But to do this I need 2 features added:

1: An Zigzag-Line which is like this:

-------+
       |
       |
       |
       +--------

Currently it only is like this:

|
|
|
+-------+
        |
        |
        |

Do you get the point? I need one perpenticular and two horizontal lines,
dia currently has the opposite one.

2. Is it possible to include Text in the SVG? I'd like to write only
some letters into each logic-unit. (&,|,!, RAM, CPU, ...)

thanx in advance,
regards
