If you want to dup the same object many times, one copy and many pastes
should be good enough. If you want to duplicate many seperate objects, you
could select them and then copy/paste -- the new select methods should give
you the tools to do selects quickly. It should also be possible to make a
script for it, once the plugin languages are more mature. Not that a
duplicate menu item (for objects in general) would be difficult, but it's
not that necessary.
