You can find libxml at http://www.xmlsoft.org/ , or from the GNOME
website at http://www.gnome.org/ .
I recommend taking a look at Paul Barnfather's excellent page,
"Building GNOME on Solaris,"
http://www.clanger9.demon.co.uk/computer/gnome/ . Even if your use
Dia without GNOME, the instructions on how to get GTK+ and its required
libraries compiled is very helpful.
If you haven't already, you will also want to take a look at
http://www.sunfreeware.com/ . It contains precompiled versions of many
of the GNU utilities and image libraries that you will need, including
the all-important gcc. [AFAIK, nobody has yet built Dia using the
SunPro compiler -- it *might* work, but you'd be pioneering new
ground.]
While I haven't compiled GTK+/GNOME/Dia for Solaris 2.7, I have
successfully built Dia for both Solaris 2.5.1 and 2.6 this way.
Good luck,
Zach
