Dia would be great for use in a scientific environment, but lacks one
major feature: sub- and superscripts in the text tool. This would enable
one to do great scientific flowdiagrams etc. with dia. It could either be
implemented fully tex-like (eg. 2^{3a} - or perhaps TeX could be used as a
back-end?) or simpler as in chemtool (that every sub- and superscript is
prefixed with _ or ^, respectively, eg. 2^3^a).
